Cycling Routes:
There are two routes for all distances. Route 1 is a 25 mile north/south out and back ride from Farmington along the foothills of Farmington, Fruit Heights, and Layton. Route 2 is a 75 mile route from Farmington to Antelope Island and back to Farmington. The century ride takes cyclist out to Antelope Island, where the 30 mile and metric century turn around prior to the causeway.
Running Races:
All running events are out and back on the local trail system. Runners head South from the regional park and merge onto the paved trails toward centerville, and back. Aid-Stations are located every 3 miles not on the half marathon route.
Bike Courses:
There are 4 total aid stations.
1) 12.5 miles turnaround point on Course
2) Pit stop at mile 25 (Farmington Regional Park
3 & 4) at the parking lot prior to the entrance to Antelope Island.
Run Courses:
Aid stations are every 3 miles on the half marathon course.
We will have moto-support and support trucks roaming along the route. We will have bike support for minor bike technical issues (flats, gears, etc). However, covering 90+ miles, it may take a while for our vehicles to get to you. We encourage you to bring basic cycling necessities (pump, tire, patch kit, etc) a cell phone with you and to contact our support staff should you need assistance.
The Farmington Fondo is NOT a race. This is a touring ride and as such, ALL traffic rules apply to you. Please obey all traffic laws while participating. ALL participants, including teams, must obey all traffic rules. This includes stop lights, railroad crossings, stop signs, yields, etc etc. The roads are NOT closed to cars during the event. Violating these rules will be grounds for immediate expulsion from the course and any future event.
Ride and draft single file as much as possible. Be aware of vehicle traffic at all times.
Be safe, Be Aware, Be Awesome!
Thank you!!
